A meeting of the APNS delegation was held with the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Dec 18, 2017 wherein the APNS office-bearers presented the issues faced by the print media, specifically the need for continuing the quota for regional newspapers; smooth, regular and timely payments against Federal Government advertising; rationalization of ABC system; judicious distribution of advertisements to genuine publications and earmarking of separate advertising budgets for electronic, print and digital media.

The Prime Minister gave a passionate hearing and directed to form a committee consisting of Secretary Information, PIO, DG IP Wing and following APNS representatives: Sarmad Ali, Hameed Haroon, Mujib-ur-Rehman Shami, Rameeza Majid Nizami, Khushnood Ali Khan, Mumtaz A. Tahir and Umer Mujib Shami.-PR
